The MK-TW-QDD-201 is a 400Gbps breakout Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable with a length of 1 meter, featuring a QSFP-DD to 2×QSFP56 breakout design, allowing a single 400G port to be split into two 200G connections.
Breakout DAC cables are commonly used for port breakout / port split applications on switching equipment, enabling high-speed ports to be divided into multiple lower-speed interfaces, thereby improving port utilization and deployment flexibility.
This cable adopts a passive Twinax copper design with 30AWG wiring, making it ideal for short-distance high-speed connections within data center racks (in-rack) or between adjacent networking devices.
Compared to optical transceiver solutions, DAC cables offer advantages such as lower latency, reduced power consumption, and lower deployment cost, making them highly suitable for data center environments and high-performance switching architectures.
